Actresses Yeom Jung Ah, Jeon So Min and Kim Jae Hwa will be acting as the strong cleaning ladies in a stock firm in upcoming jtbc drama “Cleaning Up”.
“Cleaning Up” is about the unpredictable lives of the cleaners after overhearing some insider dealings in the company. In between livelihood and survival, on one hand they have a gun that’s called a “plunger”, and on the other hand is their shield which is their desperation.
Yeom Jung Ah will be Uh Yong Mi, a cleaner at the Bested Investment Firm. On weekdays, Yong Mi is a cleaner, and on weekends she’s a housekeeper. She lives a busy life as she’s determined to provide a healthy life for her two precious daughters. One day, she overhears the insider dealings. and makes up her mind with such a opportunity around the corner.
Ahn In Gyung, played by Jeon So Min, is a co-worker of Yong Mi. In order to pursue her dream, opening a mobile cafe with a small food truck, In Gyung works as a cleaner to save money. As a coward and timid person, In Gyung acts as a brake when Yong Mi makes her aburpt plan on a stock war after hearing the insider trading.
Kim Jae Hwa is going to be Maeng Su Ja, someone who is very socialable. But her friendliness actually depends on survival. She’s only friendly when it’s needed. Though Su Ja has many different sides of her, and hides many secrets, she plays an irreplaceable role in this stock war.
“Cleaning Up” is directed by Yoon Sung Sik, the director of “Hwarang” and “Gaksital”, and is written by Choi Kyung Mi whose previous work included “Return”. The drama is expected to broadcast on jtbc in the first half of 2022.
