KT Corp. recently revealed their business roadmap on their media day. It is announced that Sky TV and Media Genie will be integrating, and one of the integrated channels will be ‘ENA’, a family channel. On the same day, they announced the line-up of ENA.

With Sky TV, which previously released succesful original content such as “Let’s Love Again”, “The Iron Squad” (co-produced with Channel A), etc., KT Corp. expects to take a leap forward with the ‘ENA’ channel relaunching. Their aims are to grow as one of the TOP 10 channels, secure their original IPs and become a global IP busienss.

As for the line-up of their 2022 dramas, they will have “Goo Pil Soo Is Not There”, with Kwak Do Won, Yoon Doo Joon and Han Go Eun as the main leads, as their 1st original content release. Next up, there will be “Weird Lawyer, Woo Young Woo” which has Park Eun Bin and Kang Tae Oh as the leads.

Other dramas line-up also include “Unlock the Boss” (Chae Jong Hyeop, Seo Eun Soo & Park Sung Woong), “Love That Will Freeze to Death” (Choi Si Won & Lee Da Hee) and “Good Night” (Jung Il Woo & Kwon Yuri).

In terms of IPTV and OTT (over-the-top) line-up, there’re “New Recruit” by the creator Jangbbijju, “Electronics Gaus” by creator Seo Soo Min, “Summer Strike” with Im Si Wan and Seolhyun, “Pale Moon” with Kim Seo Hyung and “Delivery Man” with Yoon Chan Young.

ENA aims to expand the sourcing of their IP content and the content genre spectrum, as well as their global expansion in the coming years. It’s said that drama adapted from popular web novels and webtoon will be released in the future. These include “Biography of a Villain”, “Curvature”, “Inconvenient Convenience Store”, “Riding Life”, “Winner of Lotto Goes to Work Too” (Literal translation), “A Detective Game”, “Your Game”, “I’m Serious About Dating”, “Lord of Money”, “Smash It Girl”, “I See Your Money”, “Poongwolju” and “Fist Writer”.

CEO of skyTV Yoon Yong Pil shared they have 500 billion KRW into 30 dramas and 300 variety shows throughout the 3 years.
