Actor Lee Min Ho shared his feelings on auditioning for the first time in 13 years.
On the 18th, Lee Min Ho had a virtual interview on “Pachinko” with YTN Star, in which he stated, “this is my first audition ever since ‘Boys Over Flowers’. After finishing ‘The King: Eternal Monarch’, I received an offer to audition through the Korean production. After reading the audition script, I thought to myself that I had to try (for the audition).”
He shared, “the process made me happy. It reminded me of myself 13 years ago. It’s an opportunity for me to passionately and directly receive evaluation. It felt like a reborn.”
“Different to the auditions in Korea, I had a chemistry audtion that’s arranged according to the character in the end. The audition was where I met the actors, who were strong candidates for each character. That was a new experience for me, and it was fun,” he shared while recalling the audition process.
When asked whether there’s much difference in the filming environment between Korea and Apple TV+, he answered, “there wasn’t much difference in the rolling scenes. What was quite surprising was the scene in Yeongdo market. There were 3 to 4 trucks that provided fresh seafood for the scene setting every morning. I felt the difference in scale in terms of the attention in details and reality.”
“Pachinko” will be broadcast on Apple TV+ starting from 25th Apr with 3 episodes. New episode will be released every Friday. There will be 8 episodes in total.
